How do I dispose of the packaging correctly? (Packaging and Recycling)

Modified on Thu, 2 Jul at 8:02 AM

Here's how:

Cardboard: Our cardboard is fully recyclable and can be disposed of in paper waste.

Insulation: The insulation can also be disposed of in paper waste.

Cooling elements: Please empty the contents into the drain and dispose of the casing in plastic waste. Alternatively, you can reuse the cooling elements.

Dry ice: Dry ice can be disposed of in paper waste without opening it. CAUTION: Do not handle it with bare hands!

Bags: Please dispose of the empty bag in plastic waste.

How do I recycle the packaging?

Our insulation mat is made from recycled paper and can thus be disposed of in paper waste. The casing doesn't pose any problem here. The film is separated in the recycling process in the pulper, just like adhesive tape that is often still attached to the cardboard. You can also do the separation in advance. The cooling is a combination of dry ice and cooling elements. The cooling elements are made of water with high salt content and can therefore also be reused in home use. Dry ice is solid carbon dioxide (CO₂) with a temperature of approximately -80°C. Please handle the dry ice packaging, which is made of plastic, carefully. Touch it gently at the tip and dispose of it in the recycling bin.

Why don't you use reusable packaging?

Currently, we do not offer reusable packaging. However, we are working on appropriate solutions and hope to be able to offer reusable packaging soon.

In the meantime, rest assured that all of our packaging materials are made from sustainable raw materials that are very easy to recycle.
