Why are some meals packed in bags and others in boxes?

It depends on the sauce.

Pouches: dishes with sauce pellets
Most of our dishes contain sauce pellets. The sauce is added in frozen portions, so it spreads evenly when you heat the dish. These dishes come in our space-saving pouches.

Boxes: dishes with a sauce dollop
Some dishes have less sauce or a creamier one. Here the sauce is added as a single dollop, and for production reasons these dishes are filled into boxes.

How to tell which one you’ll get
On the product page, check the bottom right corner of the product image. If the dish comes in a box, you’ll see it there.

What are the pouches made of?
Our pouches are made from PE-LD (low-density polyethylene). We chose it because it:

• stays flexible in the freezer and doesn’t become brittle or crack
• protects your food during delivery and in the freezer
• seals tightly, which helps prevent freezer burn
• keeps moisture in, so the taste and texture stay as they should
• is a mono-material, made of a single type of plastic rather than several layers of different materials
