Are the every meals organic?
To qualify for an organic label, at least 95% of all ingredients in the final product must be organically grown. This already applies to many of our ingredients, and we are currently working on providing our customers with 100% transparency into the origin of each individual ingredient. We aim to increase the organic share in our meals step by step. However, since organic doesn't always automatically mean the best quality, this is an ongoing process.
The following products from our range are already organic:
- Ice-Cream
- Epiquè Raw Cakes
- Smoothies & Shots
- Porridges, Müsli, Granola
- Dig Snacks
- Miso Paste
In general, our suppliers and we pay very close attention to the principles of organic farming and to using 100% free-range land. We source all domestic vegetables from Germany and do not use air freight for the remaining ingredients. In addition to 100% traceability back to the origin, we work with crop rotations that contribute to healthy soils.
Furthermore, these reduce pesticide use to less than one third of the legally permitted maximum and allow significantly fewer detectable pesticide residues. In this way, we contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and also support the development of near-natural areas.
